The goal of Gambaru concept.....continue

The innovation

when i was studying in Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University i began to wonder about this word`Gambaru`.The reason is that most of the Japanese people are very commonly use it for lots of occasions.I remember the most of the Japanese students say that they were facing difficulties in learning English language as we do have the same problem of overcoming the barrier of learning Japanese language.

However, most of the Japanese students used to say Gambaru for learning the English language. They often repeated that `Gambarimasu`for learning English.

It showed me that learning English is a difficult task but they do not want to give it up for any reason.Hence, the spirit of this challenging spirit is shown through the the concept of `Gambaru`. The most commonly used areas of `Gambaru`identified as follow

  • For the situations considered as tough and harder times
  • Facing challenges and goals that are harder to achieve
  • To tasks that are unable to accomplish
  • To finish a task that has a very strict and hard goal
  • To achieve the spirits and gaining power to do things that are considered as tough

As i have experienced with the Japanese people and the culture i think they have very high spirits and challenging nature by themselves. This is much more powered with the `Gambaru`concept. The word `Gaman`has its relation to the word `Gambaru`.

The `Gaman `means never give up and it will also imply that something is not stopping and its continuing. The `Gambaru`also implies the persisting and preserving the nature of something until it is achieved or accomplished. For most of the occasions the Japanese workers use this word as a encouragement while they are working hard on their daily tasks in companies. When, the customers are coming in the peak hours of the day ,the each and every company in Japan is getting busy.At those times the pressures and the stress is not easy to manage.

At this occasions the Japanese workers naturally says `Gambarimasu`It means work my best or work hard to achieve the best of this task.
